Amanda grew up in Southern California, graduating magna cum laude from the University of Southern California Annenberg School of Journalism with a degree in Communication Studies.  After completing her undergraduate degree, Amanda moved to Portland, Oregon to attend Lewis & Clark Northwestern School of Law.  Amanda clerked with the Oregon Justice Resource Center and participated in the Mock Trial Program, earning the award of Best Oral Advocate.

After law school, Amanda worked with the Multnomah County Victim Assistance Program and Legal Aid Services of Oregon’s Domestic Violence Project, representing domestic violence survivors in contested protective order hearings.  In May 2017, Amanda received the Multnomah County Bar Association’s Michael E. Haglund Award in recognition of her work representing domestic violence survivors.

Amanda has practiced Social Security Disability law, representing parties in over 2,000 contested Social Security disability hearings. Amanda now practices workers’ compensation defense, representing employers, insurers, and carriers in Oregon and Washington, with a focus on ensuring that parties feel confident navigating all stages of claim processing and litigation.
